About the event

A thought provoking session mingling weaving, discussion and storytelling. Join a small group to hear a story and work together to weave a model of the Earth we want to live in, weaving together our shared values and wishes for the planet. The session will use a  globe woven from willow harvested here on the nature reserve. You will be adding your hopes and dreams represented by strips of material of varying pattern, colour and texture. We will create a collaborative piece of artwork to be displayed in the centre to prompt future discussion. Throughout the session we'll be sharing ideas and supporting each other in our aim to work towards a healthier, more sustainable planet for future generations.

Weather permitting the session will take place outdoors on the nature reserve so please come dressed for the weather. Sturdy waterproof shoes are highly recommended as the site gets very wet after rain. We have a lovely indoor space to retreat to in case of poor weather. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided. Suitable for over 18s.
