Leave a legacy

A legacy to BBOWT is a gift that will help our wildlife for generations to come

These gifts help us nurture and protect wild spaces, so that local species can thrive. Your future support could help BBOWT achieve remarkable things.

Your gifts make a big difference

Recent legacies have helped us to:

  • Restore a wet meadow on the Upper River Ray to help protect threatened wading birds like redshank, snipe and curlew.
  • Double the size of our Finemere Wood Nature Reserve in Bucks, vital for the nationally-rare black hairstreak butterfly.
  • Care for Warburg Nature Reserve in Oxon, home to rare orchids and fascinating fungi.
  • Help us buy land at Duxford Old River and extend Chimney Meadows nature reserve to both sides of the River Thames.

How to leave a gift in your will

If you would like to discuss the best way to leave a legacy to your local Wildlife Trust, or would like us to send you a Guide to Making a Will, please contact our membership team to talk in confidence.

You can also download our free Guide to Making a Will booklet.

    Write your will for free

We are offering a limited number of free wills to our supporters, through a partnership with Farewill, the UK’s largest Will-writing service. Farewill has won multiple awards for its service, and you can write an online will with them in as little as 30 minutes.

There is no obligation to leave a gift to BBOWT if you take up our free wills offer. However, once you have looked after your loved ones, we hope that you will consider remembering BBOWT in your will.

Use the link below to create your will for free online. Once you have answered the step-by-step questions, your will is checked by a team of expert will-writers. If you need any support during the process there is specialist help available by phone.

Visit www.farewill.com/bbowt-web and enter the following voucher code BBOWT-WEB at check-out.

    Your future - Your finances

Ascot Lloyd & BBOWT - leaving a legacy for nature

We are excited that BBOWT has teamed up with independent financial advisers Ascot Lloyd.

In this video, BBOWT’s Estelle Bailey and Ascot Lloyd’s David Melloy discuss the importance of wealth planning to ensure you can enjoy your retirement years, leave your family a financial gift and include a donation to charity in your Will.

If you would like to talk to Ascot Lloyd about financial advice, please fill out this form to submit your enquiry to Ascot Lloyd.

Ascot Lloyd donates 20% of your initial fee back to BBOWT upon becoming an Ascot Lloyd client.

Your Will is there to protect those you love for the future - and for me that means remembering wildlife too.
