Assemble Volunteer Portal
What is Assemble
We are excited to be launching Assemble, our new volunteering portal at BBOWT. This will be your home for all things volunteering, designed to make it easier for you to manage your volunteering and stay connected with us. Through Assemble, you will be able to keep your personal details up to date, keep track of your volunteering activities, and receive important information from BBOWT. It will also help us to provide you with the right information and support throughout your volunteering with us.
We are undertaking a phased move onto the portal, and you will receive communications from us when we require action from you to get you set-up.

Getting started
When we would like you to start accessing Assemble, you will receive an email from "BBOWT <mail@goassemble.com>" inviting you to join the portal. Please then follow the steps below to get started:
- Click the link in the email invitation - this will take you to the Assemble log-in page.
- On the log-in page, enter the email address that we sent your email invitation to.
- Set your own password that you would like to use when accessing Assemble.
- On logging into Assemble for the first time, you’ll be prompted to change your password and set your privacy, consent and security preferences.
- Once you’ve done this, please review your profile details and add your emergency contact information, and you’re all set.
When you start accessing the portal, please navigate over to the Document Hub on the left-hand side of the page and click on the Volunteer Assemble Starter Hub for more user guides to help you get set up and using Assemble.

Assemble Support Café
Face-to-face or online, our support cafés are one-to-one sessions with a member of the Volunteering Team. There are no slides and no agenda, just book a time slot that works for you and come along!
This is your opportunity to grab a cuppa and get one-to-one support. This could include helping you to register on Assemble, showing you where everything is or how to do the basics like send a message.
Assemble Made Easy - Online Workshops
An online group workshop with the BBOWT Volunteering Team to help volunteers get comfortable navigating Assemble and build confidence using the portal. We’ll walk through the key features and everyday tasks, with plenty of time to ask questions.​
If you’ve started using Assemble and have a question, need a refresher or aren’t quite sure how to do something, bring it along to the workshop.
FAQs
Why haven't I received my invite to start using Assemble?
If you have not received an invite to start using Assemble, it is likely that we have not yet started moving your team onto the portal. Please bear with us as we work our way across all of our volunteering teams.
If you are aware that others in your team have received an invitation to join the portal, this means we may not have an up-to-date email address for you. Please contact your Staff Lead to let them know that you have not received an invitation and we can look into this for you.
What do I need to be able to use Assemble?
To access Assemble, you can use your computer, tablet or smartphone.
All you need is an internet connection and a modern browser (eg Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari).
There’s also an Assemble app for use on mobile devices, which allows easier access while on the move.
If you don't have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone, don’t worry - you can of course still volunteer for BBOWT. Please contact your Staff Lead or the Volunteering Team at volunteering@bbowt.org.uk and we will help you.
I don't know my password
Select ‘Forgotten password’ on the login screen and follow the instructions to reset it.
I haven't received the password reset email
Check your junk/spam folder first.
If it still hasn't arrived, contact volunteering@bbowt.org.uk
My account is inactive
Assemble accounts require a current, active role. If you don't have an active role recorded against your account, you won't be able to log in.
Contact volunteering@bbowt.org.uk if you believe your account should be active.
I can't see the functions I need
Your access is determined by the permissions associated with your role.
If you think you should have additional access, contact volunteering@bbowt.org.uk rather than creating a workaround.
