The Warburg Warden role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the Oxfordshire Reserve team located in the hills of the stunning Chilterns AONB. The warden will be responsible for the management of the 107 hectare Warburg nature reserve and the nearby Hartslock and Warren Bank chalk grassland reserves.
The role includes the conservation management of chalk grassland and woodland habitats, species monitoring and management of site infrastructure, including a small visitor centre and paths as well as supporting volunteers.
You will have a professional qualification at degree/diploma standard or equivalent experience in conservation/countryside management and have experience of working within a recognised conservation organisation, managing areas of land according to conservation objectives, delivering an excellent visitor experience and working with livestock. You will also have field skills in at least one major group (birds, vegetation, invertebrates, etc.) and have a proven record of delivering conservation tasks with volunteers, contractors and use of machinery and tools.
Accommodation may be available to the successful candidate on a short or long term basis.
