About the event
The Pyrenees are a wild landscape formed by geological processes and weather, whose ecosystem is strongly influenced by livestock farming and other human activities. In early summer the high meadows are full of flowers and are grazed not only by the indigenous wildlife but also by sheep and cattle brought up the mountains for the summer.
Tim Arnold, Amateur Naturalist and Wildlife Recorder, will bring to life some of the plants, insects, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals he found on a visit to the Pyrenees and how these are connected to the landscape and its farming practises.
