About the event
Did you know College Lake is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its geological significance?
In the site’s time as a quarry, an interesting geological history was uncovered. Join our volunteer guides to find out more!
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The route is only partially suitable for trampers due to steep slopes so you will need to be able to walk independently across this terrain. If you are planning on using one, please contact collegelake@bbowt.org.uk in advance.
Please be aware:
- Please arrive on time at the Visitor Centre where we will start our walk. The session lasts 2hrs and involves gentle walking around the site with stopping points along the way.
- This activity takes place outdoors and we recommend appropriate clothing for all weathers.
