About the event

The Wild Witch is taking time out of her busy schedule to make sure that the wild animals on the nature reserve are ready to hibernate and survive over the winter months. She is particularly fond of our nocturnal creatures. Follow her as she whizzes round the reserve on her broomstick, checking all the animals and find out how they prepare for winter. Then, head over to the witch's den to make animal-friendly potions and spells. Can you invent a new, magical wildlife potion and be awarded a Team Wilder sticker? Once potions are made, come inside for some cozy craft in the classroom.

There is lots of outdoor space to play and picnic, bring a packed lunch and make a day of it. Hot drinks and squash available for a small cash donation.

Suitable for families with children aged 4 to 11 years (younger siblings may also attend and do not need a ticket). All children must be accompanied by an adult. The event runs from 10am-2pm, please book your ticket online (places limited) and arrive at a time that suits you within that window, last entry 1pm. Don't forget to wear your pointy hat!

Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre.

We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
