About the event

Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is a ground-breaking policy that has brought nature conservation into the heart of planning. In this talk, we will hear how the policy was constructed, what a biodiversity net gain looks like and what net gain is delivering through new nature markets.

Sarah Scott is a Senior Advisor in Biodiversity Net Gain at the Environment Agency and has worked with Defra on the design of Biodiversity Net Gain for water. Hilary Phillips is a Senior Officer at the River Thame Conservation Trust and has led the development of projects entering the Biodiversity Net Gain nature market.
