Members are the lifeblood of Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust. Here's a great way to help us do more for your local wildlife.

Can you help us to do more for local wildlife by becoming a membership recruiter? Do you know someone perfect for this job?

Members are the lifeblood of all Wildlife Trusts, providing the financial support we need to work hard to protect your local wildlife.

Did you know that more than half our members join thanks to our membership recruiters? Perhaps you were one of them?

We are always looking for new recruiters to join the team. Working at a variety of venues, from shops and garden centres to special shows and events, our membership recruiters work between three to five days a week. A typical day includes chatting to members of the public about wildlife and their interests, and promoting the benefits of supporting their local Wildlife Trust.

Membership recruiters come from all backgrounds, including career changers, those looking to supplement retirement or fit in with another part-time job. Full training is provided, though some experience of fundraising or sales would be ideal, as well as a love for wildlife.

Anna has been recruiting members for BBOWT for three years:

"My work for the Wildlife Trust gives me the freedom to enjoy painting and creating without the pressure of having to make money from my art.

"As a part-time recruiter I love the flexibility the role offers. Visiting different places and talking to different people about wildlife is really enjoyable and no two days are the same.

"I’m proud to be promoting the essential work the Trust does."
