History of College Lake - College Lake, Friday 15 August
College Lake,
Upper Icknield Way, Bulbourne, Tring, Buckinghamshire, HP23 5QG
About the event
Explore College Lake to find out about the site’s history before we became a nature reserve. College Lake has a rich history from as far back as mammoth tusks through to the conversion and conservation of the site as a nature reserve today.
During these walks, Bernard, a volunteer guide, will take you on a 2 hour walk around the reserve taking you to see the hidden history of the site. Please note that the focus of these walks may vary with the group's interest.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM A TOUR OF THE ARABLE WEEDS PROJECT DUE TO THE QUICKER PASSING OF THE WEEDS AND FLOWERS THAN EXPECTED.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Our trampers/mobility scooter are available and suitable for the walking route but they do need to be booked in advance and if you have not used them at our site before a training session is required - please email collegelake@bbowt.org.uk for more information from our visitor centre team
Please be aware:
