About the event

Join us to discover Pitstone Fen, the neighbouring reserve to College Lake. During these walks our volunteer guides will take you on a tour of the reserve highlighting some of the wonderful wildlife at its peak. 

Pitstone Fen is a haven for wildlife; a similar landscape to College Lake but with greater protection makes it a fantastic place to spot orchids, dragonflies and butterflies.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Our trampers /mobility scooter are not available for this walking route, and it does contain some steeper slopes. Please be aware that we are meeting at College Lake and travelling to the neighbouring reserve. This journey will involve walking on a road for approx. 6 minutes. We will provide high vis for this journey.

Please be aware:

• Please arrive on time at the Visitor Centre where we will start our walk. The session lasts 2hrs
• This activity takes place outdoors and we recommend appropriate clothing for all weathers.

• Booking can either be done via website or if on the day – in person (providing there is space)
