About the event

What do the Chilterns have in common with the Swiss Alps? Why does England have 185 of the worlds 200 chalk streams? What relates an ammonite and the dinosaur? and what does College Lake have in common with Siberia? 

Join us for our Geology Walk & Talk to find out! Taking a approximately 3km walk around the reserve we'll discover the site's hidden geological history. 

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear. The route is not accessible for trampers due to steep slopes so you will need to be able to walk independently across this terrain. If you have any other questions about accessibility please contact collegelake@bbowt.org.uk

Please be aware:

• Please arrive on time at the Visitor Centre where we will start our walk. The session lasts 2hrs and involves gentle walking around the site with stopping points along the way.
• This activity takes place outdoors and we recommend appropriate clothing for all weathers.

• If you or a member of your household are feeling unwell on the day of the event, please do not attend.
• Booking can either be done via website or if on the day – in person (providing there is space)
• If you can no longer make it please inform us as we're happy to transfer your tickets to a friend or open up new spaces. We do not offer refunds for this.
