About the event

Join a small group to learn some basic weaving techniques while making an attractive, unique and useful garden planter to take home.  All the materials you will use are sustainably grown and harvested onsite. There will be a chance to see where the materials are grown, learn about harvesting, and take a walk around the reserve if you wish. This course is suitable for beginners.

What to bring

This session will be outdoors so please come dressed for the weather. (In the event of very poor weather some shelter will be available). Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, but please bring your own packed lunch. All materials and tools will be provided but if you have a favourite pair of secateurs please bring those along. Especially if the weather is cold, warm gloves offering good grip are advisable. We will have some basic ones to borrow if needed. The ground may be muddy and wet underfoot - please wear appropriate footwear. Waterproof trousers advised if available. Weaving requires strength in the hands and can be hard on the skin, some participants like to bring hand cream.
