About the event

Did you know there’s 24 distinct species of bumblebee in the UK? Or that male bumblebees can’t sting? Join us for a bumblebee safari with volunteers from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to discover what bumblebees we can find on our nature reserve and learn more about them. 

Please read:

• Due to insurance, if you have a severe reaction to bee stings, we need you to bring your EpiPen. If you forget to bring it and can’t show us it at the start of the session you will not be able to partake.
• This session is suitable for adults and children over 12+ years old. Anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult (with their own ticket) for this session.
• The meeting point for this event is the barn – this is a 10-minute walk from the visitor centre.
• If there is poor weather – not suitable for finding bumblebees - we will reschedule the event. Please check your emails from Eventbrite before the event if the weather forecast is not good.

• If you or a member of your household are feeling unwell on the day of the event, please do not attend.
