About the event
Join the knowledgeable team from Buckinghamshire Fungus Group to discover more about the fascinating world of Fungi and Slime Moulds!
We have a busy day planned with activities in Graham’s Hide, the Bat Roost and the Outlook Inn throughout the day as well as a bookable guided walk of College Lake’s Fungi in the morning.
There is fungi fun for all ages including events such as:
- Exhibition from award winning photographer Barry Webb partnered with Natural History Museum’s Lister watercolours
- Show and Tell tables of Fungi Found that morning at College Lake
- ‘Make a Fungi/Slime Mould model’ Play-doh station
- Field Mycology & Microscopy
Please read:
- This activity takes place inside but to get to the different hubs we recommend you have appropriate clothing for all weathers.
- Our trampers/mobility scooters can be hired to help visitors reach our fungi activity hubs but cannot go inside these areas themselves. If you’d like to use one for the day, please contact College Lake to book.
- If you or a member of your household are feeling unwell on the day of the event, please do not attend.
