About us

Future Nature Logo

Future Nature WTC is BBOWT’s wholly-owned Ecology Consultancy. Based at Meadow Farm near Bicester, we not only provide professional ecology services to clients in our three counties but also nationwide, often in close co-operation with our WTC partners.

Future Nature is one of 23 Wildlife Trust Consultancies (WTCs) operating throughout the UK, and as with all of the WTCs, the profits from our consultancy services are returned back into BBOWT, our local Wildlife Trust, to fund their invaluable work helping nature's recovery.

All works are carried out in accordance with our Covid-19 Policy, CIEEM and Government Guidelines, to ensure the protection of our clients and staff and members of the public.

Our knowledgeable and friendly team are able to support clients at every step of their journey from project feasibility and design, through planning and implementation to monitoring and management, no matter the size and scale of the development.

The Wildlife Trust Consultancies:  National Delivery With Local Expertise

The Wildlife Trust Consultancies comprises a group of 23 local consultancies delivering terrestrial and marine ecological services, landscape architecture, arboriculture and habitat management services across the UK and Ireland. Working on a diversity of projects from single dwellings to multi-million pound infrastructure schemes, the WTC network helps clients navigate through environmental legislation and Planning system.

The Wildlife Trusts Consultancies offer unrivalled knowledge of habitats, species and planning processes, for local and regional sites. Projects ranging from major transport schemes to local nature recovery and tree strategies, benefit from pragmatic ecological solutions tailored to the local context.

The excellent relationships that the Consultancies have established with Local Planning Authorities and statutory and non-statutory consultees, enable them to provide authoritative advice, based on a thorough understanding of local requirements. This in turn helps projects to progress through planning, while giving the best possible protection to nature.

Future Nature and the Wildlife Trust Consultancies are committed to delivering projects to the highest standards, including compliance with current Health & Safety and Quality Management regulations. WTC Ecologists are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), so clients can be confident that the work is consistent with the industry code of practice.
