About the event

Summer is one of the busiest times of year for wildlife, with flowers blooming, bees buzzing, butterflies fluttering and young animals exploring the natural world. 

Pick up a trail sheet from the Visitor Centre and set off around the Nature Discovery Centre grounds to discover the amazing habitats and wildlife that call this place home.

Follow the trail, answer fun wildlife questions, look for clues left by nature and see how many creatures you can spot along the way. From woodland explorers and brilliant bees to meadow minibeasts and life around the lake, there's something for every young nature detective to enjoy.

Perfect for families and children aged 5–12, the trail encourages curiosity, observation and outdoor adventure.
