Home Educators' Day: World of Pollinators - Sutton Courtenay, Tuesday 22 July
About the event
It's summer and the whole reserve is buzzing with pollinators. And it's not just bees! Come discover who these important creatures are, what they're up to and why we need them as you explore our beautiful nature reserve and take part in a wide range of cross-curricular activities. There will be a mixture of self led activities and activities led by our learning team, including flower dissection, wildlife spotting, trails, a craft to take home and more!
Most activities will be outdoors - please come dressed for the weather. Our quiet reading and sensory tray space will be open in the classroom too. Bring a picnic to enjoy at the picnic benches. Hot drinks and squash provided.
The day is suitable for children aged 4 to 11 years with an accompanying adult (it's ok to bring younger siblings along so long as you can still support your older child with the activities). We run home educators days on a bimonthly basis, keep an eye on the website for more dates or ask to join our mailing list.
Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre.
We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
