Chalkhill Blue by Mick Jones
The Chiltern are blessed with a range of butterflies that have adapted to the chalk grassland and woody glades found in local beech woods.
About the event
Local butterfly expert Nick Bowles, chairman of the Upper Thames branch of Butterfly Conservation whets our appetite for warm spring days when we will be able to walk into the hills and see these winged jewels flying across the chalk grassland.
Nick will describe in detail their specialist habitat needs and the work being done to keep them present in healthy numbers.
The talk will be hosted on Zoom and a link to join will be included in the confirmation email. We request you purchase a ticket per screen joining. As many people who can safely gather around a screen can watch.
