Become the face of Buckinghamshire’s flagship nature reserve at College Lake as a Roving Site Volunteer!

We are looking for volunteers to engage with visitors on Saturdays, to give information on wildlife, walks, and activities, and generally help people connect with nature.

Minimum half a day, once per month commitment, but full days and weekly shifts available

College Lake Roving Site Volunteer Role Description

As a Roving Site Volunteer, you’ll be our eyes and ears across the reserve helping to keep the site safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone. You will be our eyes and ears on the ground.  Walking the site, spotting any issues, sharing wildlife sightings and offering a friendly presence to those exploring the reserve.

You should be friendly and approachable with good communication skills, enjoy walking and being outdoors in nature in all seasons, and be observant and proactive in identifying issues or opportunities to help.
