About the event

Join us for a spooky Halloween-themed trail through our nature reserve. Follow the story of the witch who lives deep in the nature reserve...if you’re brave enough!

Stretch your legs this half term and explore our beautiful nature reserve at one of the most picturesque times of year. This trail takes you on a circular route where you will learn about wildlife and help the witch brew her magic potion to turn herself into a fantastic creature. Can your little ones discover what amazing powers the witch will gain when the transformation is complete?

This self-guided trail follows a signposted route through our woods. The trail takes 1-1.5 hours to complete depending on dwell time at each panel. Pre-booking for this event is essential. Please note that most of the trail follows unsurfaced paths so may not be suitable for buggies or wheelchairs following periods of heavy rain. There are outdoor tables available should you wish to stay for a picnic lunch. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Useful info: The toilets and baby change will be open however there will not be access to any other areas of the education centre including classrooms. -We will not be using reusable maps for this event. Instead a map showing the trail route will be provided on your event handout. You will be able to collect your event handout when you check in with a member of our team.

By booking this session you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

If you or a member of your household is showing ANY flu like signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or you have been told by NHS Test and Trace to isolate, please do not attend the event.

Tickets are limited each day to control visitor numbers onsite. The nature reserve is a closed site not normally open to the public so pre-booking is essential. Sorry, we are unable to offer walk-in tickets on the day. All attendees must abide by the rule of six at all times.

All participants will be required to use an alcohol sanitising hand gel or wash their hands with soap and water on arrival.

During the event you will be supported to enable social distancing from others at a distance of 2m in line with public health advice. It is your responsibility to be aware of yours and your child's proximity to others.
