About the event

As our Summer visitors leave for Africa and beyond, Redwings, Fieldfares and Whooper Swans are among the many birds that call Britain home in the Winter, arriving from further north to enjoy our milder weather. This talk will cover many of our visiting birds, and how to identify Winter migrants in your garden and local area.

Sessions involve a bird spotting walk which is optional and may vary in duration due to Ailsa’s passion and what we see on the day!

For this reason, we sometimes run on after 2pm, but Ailsa understands that some of you may not wish to stay so please just head off whenever you need to.
