Pond Dipping Workshop for Over 18s - Sutton Courtenay, Friday 17 July
About the event
Under the surface of the pond lurks an incredible diversity of fascinating life. Frogs and toads are just the tip of the iceberg. From caddisfly larvae spinning silk to build intricate shells around themselves, to ferocious dragonfly nymphs hunting tadpoles with their hydrostatic jaw - come experience a hidden world. We'll use nets to take samples from the pond and identification keys to learn what we've found. We'll then use magnifiers to take a closer look. Prepare to be amazed!
Please come dressed for the outdoors.
The course starts at 6pm but the reserve will be open for picnics and exploring from 5pm. Please check in at the office on arrival.
