Position details

Commitment:

Monday

Frequency:

Weekly

You will help to monitor the Trust’s livestock, visiting the site(s)* once a week to check that they are healthy and have water. You’ll also need to check that fences are in good repair. If there are any signs of poor condition, illness, or damage to infrastructure, you will report this to Land Management staff. These checks are in addition to those carried out by staff.

You’ll need to be comfortable around livestock (sheep, and semi-wild ponies) and accessing locations with uneven and hilly terrain.

This is a solo role, so a willingness to carry out duties unsupervised is essential.

*Livestock may be present on one or both sites, depending on the time of year. Grazing mainly occurs in autumn and winter.
