About the event
Looking for an extra special table decoration for your festive meal this year? Come foraging at the reserve and create a set of beautiful miniature wreaths in a mindful and eco-friendly way.
These adorable decorations are perfect as place settings, hand-made gifts or perhaps you’ll love them so much you’ll just want to hang them on your own tree! Decorate your table with a true reflection of the beginning of this year’s unique winter.
A key part of sustainable floristry is using what we’ve already got, so if you have any dried flowers from the summer (even broken individual heads), bring them along to add extra colour and whimsy to your teeny tiny wreaths. Any cinnamon sticks left over from a previous wreath-making soirée? Let’s get those involved too! You get the idea. If you haven’t got such things to hand, just bring yourself and we will find everything you need in the beautiful surroundings of the nature reserve.
This half-day course will give you hands-on experience of foraging and preparing seasonal ingredients to create a set of gorgeous festive decorations for your home.
Immerse your senses in winter at the reserve and receive friendly, expert tuition from Kathryn of local eco-florist Green Feather Flowers in creating a unique and beautiful botanical reflection of the season to take home.
