Moor Copse,
Tidmarsh, Reading, Berkshire, RG8 8EYEvent details
About the event
This walk will be guided by our Land Manager Simon Barnett to look at some of the wildlife found on this special reserve. We will be discussing site management works, and some of the key projects delivered on site to date, in addition to a brief history of the reserve.
This is a guided walk with a member of BBOWT team. Please bring appropriate footwear. The walk will be along rough and uneven ground. The walk will be approximately 2 hours so be prepared to walk for this length of time, albeit at a gentle pace. Bring binoculars if you wish. Parking is limited in the car park to about 10 spaces, and we are unable to restrict parking so please arrive early to secure a space.
Please note there are no facilities on-site.
This project is part of the Partnerships for Nature programme which is led and administered by the North Wessex Downs National Landscape Partnership (NWDNL). The NWDNL published a Nature Recovery Plan identifying priorities to restore nature in the protected landscape. This is one of seven sites where conservation effort will be focussed, kick-starting delivery against this plan.
The Partnerships for Nature programme, and this project, is funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
