About the event

Become a zoologist and discover the animals living in the meadows and woods this summer on a day camp for 8-12 year olds. The camp is run by our trained and experienced learning team, children can be dropped off and collected at the end of the day.  The day will be packed full with wildlife themed games, activities and exploration all over the nature reserve, helping the children to connect with the amazing world around us. This camp will be themed around the animals on the reserve, children will collect a zoologist kit bag when they arrive and activities including bird watching, identifying animal footage on the trail camera and making your own tracking tunnel to take home.

We'll spend the day in the great outdoors, but the centre does have a beautiful indoor classroom space in case of bad weather. Further information will be sent at time of booking, including a parental consent form that MUST be completed and returned prior to attending the day. Please note, this day camp will be repeated on Tuesday 20 August (same content, please only book one of these days). We are also running a Fantastic Flyers themed day camp on Thursday 16 August and Wednesday 21 August.

Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre.

We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
