The work parties carry out a wide range of practical tasks to maintain and enhance the reserve performing a wide range of tasks, which might include fencing, scrub clearance, vegetation cutting, grassland mowing, coppicing, path maintenance, hide painting, access works, and assisting with livestock.
Work parties run on the second Sunday of the month. No experience necessary, but enthusiasm is important. Training provided for all practical tasks.
Volunteering with this group will giv you the chance to be actively involved at one of BBOWT’s reserves and contribute to the conservation of habitats and species. You would learn new skills and get to know the dedicated, friendly team of other volunteers whilst keeping fit doing a range of practical activities. You will have opportunities to meet other volunteers and staff at events, and hear about the activities and strategies of the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust. We also have an email newsletter for volunteers.
