Working at some of the most amazing locations around the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), you will be based mainly in the Oxfordshire area looking after the main offices at Littlemore and our Education Centre at Sutton Courtney as well as three of the reserve offices in BBOWT’s wider estate.
The role involves you planning for, organising and developing the facilities at each location. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures & legal requirements (e.g. fire safety, legionella, first aid, COSHH, etc.). No two days will be the same and you will spend as much of your time with your sleeves rolled up, problem solving as you will with a computer.
In addition, this role also takes the lead on insurance across the trust liaising with the insurers at the time of renewal and dealing with insurance claims during the year.
The role is full time Monday - Friday. Travel between the sites will be needed so being able to drive & use of a car is a must. Strong admin skills are essential. If you have had previous building management experience that would be preferable
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple buildings and fleet vehicles across 5 sites (mainly Oxfordshire), providing hands on support to ensure the highest levels of Health and Safety compliance are maintained, and providing flexible assistance to the wider facilities team across the three counties with specific responsibility for leading on our insurance arrangements and claims.
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Based: The Lodge, Littlemore, Oxford
