The Nature Discovery Centre is a thriving visitor centre which offers a great day out for all the family. Based in a lovely lakeside setting, we have interactive wildlife and natural history displays as well as a network of footpaths navigating a mosaic of different natural habitats. There is fantastic wildlife to see year round. The Café sits within the Centre and offers welcome refreshment to the broad range of visitors to this lovely site.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee the running of the Lakeside Café at the Nature Discovery Centre and to ensure an exceptional level of customer service. The ideal candidate will have energy and enthusiasm for creating a vibrant menu that changes with seasons and can satisfy a range of dietary needs.

The post holder will work with the Nature Discovery Centre Manager to promote an enhanced customer experience resulting in increased income generation and profitability of this important service and facilities within the Centre.

Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment, motivating and leading a team with experience of producing high quality food in line with the latest hygiene and food safety standards is essential.

FTE £21,987 per annum


Permanent, average of 28-35 hours per week across the year (to be discussed with successful candidate – full-time is 35 hours per week). Hours will include weekend working.
