About the event

Join us for a guided walk to explore the fascinating work of our Arable Weeds Group and their ongoing efforts to conserve and develop our beautiful cornfield flowers. When the reserve was first established rare arable weeds appeared naturally. This has evolved into a conservation project working with many groups such as Kew, the Natural History Museum and the species recovery trust.

During these walks our guide will take you on a 1h30 walk around the reserve to visit the arable weeds team in their nursery and visit the cornfield flowers and arable fields all a part of this project. Please note that though we do our best to schedule these walks when the fields are at their best like all things in nature it can be unpredictable.

Please be aware:

  • Please arrive on time at the Visitor Centre where we will start our walk. The session lasts 1h30 and involves gentle walking around the site with stopping points along the way.
  • Our trampers/mobility scooter are not available for the walking route
  • This activity takes place outdoors and we recommend appropriate footwear and clothing for all weathers.
