Protecting these rare and threatened habitats
A talk by Catherine Moncrieff, Trustee of the Chiltern Society
About the event
This talk will explore the unique habitats of chalk streams and the pressures they face from pollution, water abstraction and habitat modification.
The speaker, Catherine (Cat) Moncrieff, will explain the work of the Chiltern Society, with the other partners of Chiltern Chalk Stream Project, in protecting these precious habitats - both locally and at a national level, and the small things we can all do to help.
Cat is a trustee at the Chiltern Society and also sits on the Chilterns Conservation Board. In her day job she heads policy and engagement at the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. She has worked for several environmental organisations including WWF, the South East Rivers Trust and the Carbon Disclosure Project.
