About the event

Join us to gain the basic skills for outdoor teaching.

Please note this is an online event.

The outdoors is a wonderful place to discover, learn and grow. This online session is a basic introduction to taking your class outside and learning with nature. We will cover a range of skills including techniques for managing a group outdoors, dynamic risk assessment and activities to fit in with learning objectives across the curriculum, as well as having plenty of time to share ideas, problems and solutions together. The course is suitable for primary teachers, teaching assistants and anyone interested in teaching groups of children outdoors. A certificate of completion will be issued to all participants after the course.

What to bring

You will need a computer/tablet/phone capable of joining an online call, with a microphone so you can join in the chat. The default expectation is for participants to have their camera switched on at all times. Bring ideas and questions to share !
