Event details
About the event
Jon Mason, aka ‘theearlybirder’, has lived in the Chilterns for most of his life. He will be sharing his experiences of observing nature in the diverse range of habitats their landscape has to offer, from orchids in open grassland and dark beechwoods to the birds and mammals that also make the hills their home despite their proximity to London. In 2023 he visited every BBOWT reserve and kept a visual record of what he discovered. In this talk you can join him on that adventure and be amazed at the wildlife that can be found alongside us in this beautiful part of the country.
Please note that we will have a short break in the middle of the talk.
Our trampers/mobility scooter are available and suitable for the route up to the barn but not for the barn itself. They do need to be booked in advance and if you have not used them at our site before a training session is required - please email collegelake@bbowt.org.uk for more information from our visitor centre team
Please be aware:
- Please note that that the gates will open from 5:40pm with the talk beginning at 6pm up at the Barn (a short 5-10 minute walk)
- This activity takes place indoors and we recommend appropriate clothing and footwear for the walk up and brining a torch if you have one available.
