About the event

Local artist, Claire Mills, set up Rubbish Baskets earlier this year as a way to turn plastic packaging and scrap yarn into something useful.

The plastic used is any crinkly packaging that isn't currently recycled, such as salad leaf bags, fruit punnet lids, sweet wrappers and some bread bags. The yarn is mostly left over from crochet or knitting projects.

These classes will teach you how to make baskets, so that you too can reduce how much plastic ends up in landfill.

If you have any acrylic yarn then please bring but not essential and any unwanted plastic you may have!
