Salary: £21,172 per annum

Location: Meadow Farm, near Bicester

Hedgerow Havens is a partnership project hosted by the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) working with Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC). The project involves working with local landowners, including farmers and Parish Councils to deliver a range of wildlife habitat creation and restoration projects, with a focus on the hedgerow network within the project area

The project will be managed by a Steering group comprised of staff from AVDC and BBOWT.

The successful candidate will:

  • Create, develop and support local volunteer capacity to help identify (and possibly deliver) suitable wildlife conservation projects
  • Identify and meet with appointed contacts, parishes, farmers, landowners etc. where habitat works can be delivered 
  • Monitor the delivery of individual habitat works against agreed criteria set by a Steering group
  • Ensure that farmers/landowners in receipt of funding sign up to a management agreement

This is a 35 hour per week, Fixed term contract until 31st December 2020.
