You may get a visit this week from our new Membership Recruiters who are knocking on doors and asking people if they would like to become members of BBOWT. This is something we do from time to time, and is one of the main ways that we find new members cost-effectively. Apologies If you are already a member and they knock on your door.
Questions you may have...
Are these new recruiters employed directly by BBOWT?
No, they are employed by REAL Fundraising Ltd who are an agency we are working with to approach members of the public because we do not have the resources to run this kind of project on our own.
Why are you using this technique?
It can be hard to find people who may support BBOWT if they knew more about the work we do, but have never been given the opportunity. We use various ways to recruit new members such as talking to people at various local venues, but we find calling on people in their homes to explain the benefits of being a member one of the most effective means.
Why are you asking for £10 a month?
£10 a month would enable us to do so much after a year, such as building two brand new barn owl nest boxes, or protecting ten thousand square metres of traditional hay meadows.
How can I join BBOWT?
First of all, a massive thank you from all of us here at BBOWT for choosing to support us! You will be helping to protect all the wonderful wildlife that the Trust works very hard to protect.
There are various ways that you can join us:
