    30 Days Wild connecting with nature

    30 Days Wild challenge from the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust helps people enjoy nature every day. A new poll of over 2,400 (two thousand four hundred) people living in major cities across the UK reveals that city-dwellers have a strong affinity for nature and think that it’s important to help care for it. But the poll also highlights a conflict: while city-dwellers feel that nature is important to them, they struggle to connect with it as much as they’d like and a high proportion of people want to see more nature in cities.

    Nature at the heart of the General Election, Port Meadow, Oxford

    Prospective MPs for Oxford constituencies joined wildlife supporters, local residents and the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) to put nature at the heart of the General Election. On Friday evening, 26 May, more than 50 people gathered on Oxford’s famous Port Meadow to make a heart among the golden buttercups.

  • Tesco Bags of Help for children’s nature experiences in South Oxfordshire

    Oxfordshire nature education centre to benefit from Tesco Bags of Help

    The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is bidding to bag a cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative to improve the education areas in the outdoor classrooms at the Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre for children and families. The Tesco Bags of Help initiative awards grants of up to £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – to environmental and greenspace projects.
