This is an opportunity to join a thriving, friendly group of volunteers active mostly in the area between Aylesbury, Tring, Amersham and High Wycombe. The walks organiser uses our list of regular leaders to arrange dates and places for six or more walks a year then posts them to the HO Diary. He or she is welcome to join the local group committee which meets four times a year at College Lake. Volunteers from the group will always be available to accompany each walk.

The Chilterns are an inspiring area of beautiful habitats, rich in wildlife and history. We want people to get close to nature, learn identification skills and enjoy good company in this wonderful landscape. For some, this may be their first contact with nature.

Helping the Chilterns Group from home for just an hour a week would really support us to continue our programme of six natural history walks and short field trips each year. You don’t need to lead walks yourself and it’s up to you whether you go to them. We have a list of regular and occasional leaders and full documentation to help you in this voluntary role.

If you feel you would like to help us make a difference and raise awareness about nature then we’d love to hear from you. For an informal chat contact either Julie Pomfret on 07881 953690 or Mick Jones on 07818 624092

The Chilterns Group is a lively and friendly group that organises fundraising, events and conservation to support the Berks, Bucks and Oxon in its aim to secure a better future for wildlife.
