We are looking for a self-motivated Media Officer to take a lead role in building the Trust’s profile through local and national media. Through this role, you’ll have a unique opportunity to give a voice to local wildlife and wild places, telling the story of the work that we do across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
With excellent written and verbal communications skills you are able to work collaboratively and deliver quality results for the Trust. You’ll need to craft compelling media messages for a wide range of audiences, as well as writing press releases, organising interviews, and creating engaging social media posts that get people talking.
The ideal applicant will have some experience of working with the media, a passion for wildlife, and enjoy a being part of a busy team.
The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
£26,000 per annum
Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)
