Community Wildlife Officer (Oxon)

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic community officer to support the management of our suite of community nature reserves across Oxfordshire and to support and encourage volunteer groups within the county. This includes working on our urban wildlife projects; Wild Oxford and Wild Banbury and assisting with the development of our vision for Urban Living Landscapes across our towns and cities. As Community Wildlife Officer you will work within the Oxfordshire Community Wildlife Team to provide advice and inspiration to individuals, local groups and other stakeholders to enable them to take action for wildlife. This is an exciting opportunity to work on both urban parks and rural nature reserves working with a wide variety of people and wildlife habitats.

The successful applicant will have experience of working with a wide variety of people including community groups, local authorities, conservation volunteers and school children, and demonstrate a sound understanding of habitat management techniques. You will also have an obvious passion for the natural environment and good general knowledge of wildlife and habitats.
