The first phase of the High Speed Two (HS2) railway between London and Birmingham was given Royal Assent on 23 February 2017.

Since 2010 BBOWT has campaigned strenuously for the impacts of HS2 on wildlife to be reduced. Some significant changes were made, but the HS2 railway line will still have considerable impact on two of our nature reserves: Calvert Jubilee and Finemere Wood.

Read about the campaigns and successes achieved by BBOWT and partner organisations during six years of campaigning to reduce the impacts of HS2 on wildlife along the route.
