Support BBOWT

BBOWT has been involved with Moor Copse nature reserve, near Pangbourne in Berkshire, for 50 years. There’s always more to do for wildlife here:

  • We’d like to work on the River Pang that flows through the reserve, increasing the areas for fish to spawn.
  • We also want to replace the deer fencing so that the woodland flowers, which create such a wonderful display each spring, are protected from grazing by the deer.

By joining today, you can help us carry out this work. Not only will you be helping to protect a wonderful nature reserve, you will be helping to protect more enchanting places nearby, and in the rest of our three counties, for generations to come.

As a member, you’ll receive a copy of Your Wild Guide**, our reserves handbook, a Welcome to Wildlife magazine, our members’ magazine Wild three times a year, and our events diary packed with walks, talks and much more.

Moor Copse is open to visitors all year round, and every season has something new to discover.

The reserve includes Berkshire’s only Coronation Meadow, a flagship example of a wildflower meadow because of the variety of plants there. Thanks to generous donations from our supporters in 2006, we increased the size of the reserve by 30 hectares, ensuring more land is protected for local wildlife. Since then we’ve planted thousands of trees to link two areas of woodland.

BBOWT needs our supporters more than ever to help us protect our precious local wildlife. Beyond Moor Copse, our countryside and the amazing wildlife that lives there is threatened by development and intensive agriculture.

Please join BBOWT today and help us preserve our nature reserves as havens for wildlife, safe from these ever-growing threats. The support of our members is vital to our work. As we look to the future, we know that we need many more people on nature’s side.
