Sat, 14/10/2017 - 10:00am - 3:30pm

Come and taste different apple cultivars, buy some of your favourites and take a guided walk or self guided walk around Woolley Firs to see the domestic and wild harvest.

The Woolley Firs estate has a newly planted orchard of apples and pears. There is a wild harvest too with extensive hedgerows containing fruit, berry and nut bearing plants and seeds in the arboretum.

Come and  taste different apple cultivars; take a guided walk around Woolley Firs and see the wild harvest (or just follow our walk leaflet); and visit the education centre to learn more about how our wild harvest hedgerows support biodiversity, particularly during the winter months.

The education centre is open all day for the exhibition and fruit tastings.

Tea and coffee and some home made fruity treats are at the centre

Guided fruit identification walks at 11.00 and 14.00.

Woolley Firs Estate is at Burchett's green, Maidenhead, down Cherry Garden Lane which is off the A4 immediately to the East of the Shire Horse public house and 700m to the West of the A4/A404 junction. The Education Centre Car park is the third BBOWT entrance on the left with a clear signpost at the entrance.

Whilst there is no set admission fee for the exhibition and guided walks, donations are welcome on the day.

We have limited car parking space and do ask you to make a booking for this event.
