The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a successful local charity, with over 53,000 members, around 1,400 volunteers and 70 staff. The Trust manages 80 nature reserves, influences land management across the 3 counties and actively encourages all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
Working in a central and varied role as part of a small and friendly team, you will provide administrative support to the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees and assist in developing good internal communications.
You will have excellent communication skills, be a meticulous administrator, and willing to juggle a varied workload on behalf of the Chief Executive.

College Lake Centre Manager
Salary: £22,500

BBOWT is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management across the 3 counties and actively working to educate and encourage all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife. College Lake is a nature reserve and education centre near Tring and is the main visitor site for the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust in Buckinghamshire.
The Centre Manager will be required to manage and take forward developments of all the visitor facilities at College Lake, both within the visitor centre building and around the reserve. The post holder will be required to work closely with existing staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth running of the Centre as a whole.
This post will require a significant level of weekend working and some evenings. Applicants should have experience in a responsible position at a profitable trading or catering operation or visitor attraction and a demonstrable appreciation and general understanding of nature conservation.

Community Wildlife Officer Berkshire - Maternity Cover
Salary: £18,900 per annum pro rata

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work on our community nature reserves across Berkshire, helping to deliver practical site management and supporting the associated volunteer groups. You will also help to support all volunteering throughout the county, plan and deliver inspiring public events and aid in the delivery of onsite interpretation. A broad understanding of woodland and wetland habitats along with previous experience of working with community groups or volunteers would be advantageous. You will enjoy working with people of all ages and sharing your wildlife skills and knowledge.

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) is a charity dedicated to wildlife conservation. We manage 88 nature reserves and work to educate and encourage everyone to care for local wildlife. We have over 25,000 members and are looking to recruit more.
We need enthusiastic and dedicated people with a flair for communication, to recruit new members for BBOWT primarily through recruiting door-to-door, usually in your local area. We use a soft approach – no hard sell is involved. Although sales/fundraising experience or knowledge of wildlife would be an advantage, these are not a requirement - full training and support is provided. More important is an enthusiasm for wildlife and enjoying talking to people.

Membership Recruiters: Events and Private Sites
Location: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire - in particular South Bucks, West Oxfordshire and East Berkshire.
Hours: Working patterns are flexible: typically 3-5 days per week. Weekend work is also available.
The role: We are seeking part-time and full-time Membership Recruiters. Our recruiters work on behalf of BBOWT at pre-booked venues and at organised events and shows. Most show and event work is at weekends during the spring to autumn season. We also operate year-round on both weekday and weekends at other venues within a radius of approximately one hour's travel from your home. The role is ideal for those seeking a career or lifestyle change or simply some part-time work.
Requirements: Applicants must be enthusiastic and reliable with above average communication and interpersonal skills. We welcome applications from mature, professional people who are outgoing and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided. Access to your own transport is essential.
Pay: We offer various generous income options including bonuses. A Self-Employed/ Freelance option is also available with potential for significantly higher earnings.
