Our training program is designed for you to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence to take action for wildlife. These skills can be used through volunteering or in your own back garden!
Developing Your Skills - training courses
All of our training courses are free to volunteers and they are also open to members or anyone looking to learn more about wildlife. The programme covers a wide range of topics including introductory courses, wildlife identification, surveying, practical skills and working in the conservation sector. Download the Developing Your Skills course programme for full details.

Note: It's always worth sending in a booking form, even if a course appears to be full... we keep waiting lists for every course. If anyone cancels, we offer their place to the next person on the list. The next Developing Your Skills booklet is due to be published in September / October.
Volunteering with the Trust offers real opportunities to develop practical and transferable skills, through learning on the job, informal training and shadowing our knowledgeable staff and volunteers.
