Wildlife Information Service Volunteers Can you answer our wildlife questions?
Why do badgers sometimes dig up the garden? How many species of bats are there in the UK? If you can answer these questions or know where to find the answer to these questions then the Wildlife Information Service needs you! The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trusts (BBOWT) Wildlife Information Service receives hundreds of enquiries from the public each year and now wants to build a team of local volunteers to help provide advice and information on wildlife issues. You don't have to be a wildlife expert as the role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys research and wants to expand their wildlife knowledge and who has bags of energy to get around our busy 3 floor Oxford office. You will need to commit to a regular slot of a few hours each week and must be able to travel to BBOWTs office in Littlemore, Oxford. The Wildlife Information Service is on the ground floor. If you can help, please contact us on 01865 775476 or email: wildinfo@bbowt.org.uk for more details.

College Lake volunteering opportunities
We've built and opened a brand new Visitor Centre at College Lake, our flagship BBOWT reserve in north east Bucks, near Tring.
Whether you're after something purely practical or prefer engaging with people, we're pretty sure we'll have something for you. So....
Cafe volunteer
Providing refreshments to our visitors is a big part of making their outing to this exciting reserve an enjoyable experience. If you are a cheerful, friendly person with an interest in making sure our visitors are comfortably fed and watered, we'd love to hear from you!
We will also be expanding this team from April onwards, once our new Visitors Centre is open. We anticipate far larger numbers of people - and a greater diversity of food and drink on offer!
Reserve Warden
If you'd like to use your skills with people but in the context of the wider reserve, we are also looking for a team of voluntary Reserve Wardens who will be on duty across the site talking to members of the public about the reserve, developments there and BBOWT generally. For more information call Nancy Reed, Reserve Warden, on 01442 826774 or email nancyreed@bbowt.org.uk

If you're interested, contact us on 01865 775476 or volunteering@bbowt.org.uk
Mid-week Team
