Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve

 
Chimney Meadows lies along the banks of the River Thames, near Bampton in west Oxfordshire.  The site totals 250 hectares of floodplain flower rich meadows, wet woodland, 16km of hedgerows and interlaced with 18km of waterways.  
 
Getting there

Directions: 9 miles west of Abingdon. On Buckland to Bampton road; follow signage to Chimney hamlet. Park at entrance to the reserve in designated car park only.
 
Getting around: 249 ha (615 acres)
Flat terrain, bumpy underfoot. Ground may be soft in winter. Bridge and gates on site.
 
Disabled access is now available to two hides via 350m of recycled plastic boardwalk. Please contact the Chimney office to pre-arrange disabled parking nearer to the board walk at the Barn.
 
Owing to the sensitive nature of this site please keep to the public rights of way. All dogs on short leads please.
